We track our estimated impact across two everyday oral care swaps: conventional single-use toothpaste tubes and plastic toothbrushes.
Our impact figures are estimated based on ohGiGi® product sales. One jar of Toothpowder is estimated to replace approximately 2.5 conventional toothpaste tubes. Each eligible plastic-free ohGiGi® toothbrush purchased is counted as one conventional plastic toothbrush avoided.

OUR GOAL: ONE MILLION TUBES AVOIDED.
Conventional toothpaste typically comes in single-use tubes that can be difficult to recycle through standard household recycling.
We wanted to do things differently.
With each jar of Toothpowder estimated to replace approximately 2.5 conventional toothpaste tubes, every jar chosen gets us a little closer to our goal:

One jar might not feel like much.
But one becomes 10.
10 becomes 100.

Toothpaste tubes aren’t the only source of conventional plastic in our everyday oral care routines.
That’s why eligible ohGiGi® plastic-free toothbrushes form another part of the impact we track.
Each eligible plastic-free toothbrush purchased is counted as one conventional plastic toothbrush avoided, another small everyday choice that contributes to the bigger picture.
Because changing the way we do everyday things doesn’t have to happen all at once.

SMALL-BATCH PRODUCTION
Our Toothpowders and Oil Pulls are hand-blended in small batches, helping us manage production carefully and minimise unnecessary product waste.

We carefully consider the ingredients that go into our oral-care products and formulate with purpose.
REFILLABLE GLASS JARS
Our Toothpowders come in glass jars designed to be kept and refilled, rather than replaced each time your Toothpowder runs out.
REFILL. REUSE. COMPOST.
Our Toothpowder refills come in certified home-compostable sachets, designed so you can keep refilling your ohGiGi® glass jar while reducing the need for new packaging.
MORE BRUSHES, LESS PACKAGING
A little Toothpowder goes a long way. You can expect a minimum of approximately 200 brushes from a 40g jar and 500 brushes from a 100g refill, based on recommended use.
CONSIDERED SHIPPING MATERIALS
We prioritise paper and cardboard materials across our order packaging wherever practical, including cardboard shipping boxes, paper wrapping, labels and tape.
PAPER-FREE INVOICES
Your invoice arrives by email rather than being printed and added to every parcel.
